Hello folks! It’s been a while since I felt I had anything to say, so I’ve been quiet. However I just wanted to let you know of an addition I have made to the blog/website.

I added an Influences & Inspirations page where I hope to list some of the people, books, movies and other media which have influenced me as well as places on the world wide web I tend to visit for information and inspiration. The three first references are to places to find scripture and the readings for each week on the web.

I’m also taking a leap of faith again and beginning to reflect on the collects, the prayers from the Book of Common Prayer, and their associated scriptures which shape and focus regular Anglican worship. I’ve started at the scriptures and collect for Ash Wednesday in part because it is a traditional time to start or deepen one’s spiritual and devotional life. This day of the year is also an invitation to return to God from the places where our lives might have been scattered throughout the year, in preparation for the agonies of Holy Week and the joys of Eastertide. With God’s help, I hope to make the full journey this year. Pray for my strength and focus to continue. But, even if I don’t, I hope you find encouragement to begin your own journey into deeper faith at this time and throughout the year.

Thanks again for going on this journey with me. Feel free to contact me through Facebook, follow me on Twitter @joncarllewis, or email me at joncarl.lewis@gmail.com. May God richly bless you as we explore this journey called life.
