Faith seeking understanding #012: Digesting my spiritual food

Faith seeking understanding, my personal journey towards a deeper knowledge of and intimacy with God, the cosmos, humanity and myself through thoughts, words and (occasionally) images, is a series of [hopefully] daily reflections I’m writing with the purpose of publishing something on a regular basis for others to read, either here, at joncarllewis.com or among my writings at Medium.com.

I told myself I was too busy to write today. That’s not entirely true.
I’ve had time. And I’m finding time now. What I’ve been lacking today is a subject. At least a coherent subject. I’ve been filling myself with interesting thoughts and looking at beautiful images. I’ve been feeding myself words and images, but if they all came out in a rush it wouldn’t be very coherent.

Just as food needs to be digested to be of any use to a body, words and concepts and images need to be digested in order to make any sense to a soul. So I will give myself some time to digest what I have been gorging on today.

And see what tomorrow brings.

Thank you for your time and attention.
I’d love to know your thoughts on what you’ve read.
Please comment, below, or email me at joncarllewis@gmail.com.
May God richly bless you on your journey.
