Jon Carl Lewis brings theological and spiritual curiosity to his work, exploring healthy, justice-oriented, Jesus-centered ethical stances around sexuality, relating, and the body. He has studied theology, scripture, discernment, and ethics at Princeton Theological Seminary, Harvard Divinity School and General Theological Seminary. As a gay man who has identified as queer since ca. 1990, and a candidate for the Master of Arts in Public Ministry at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, he bridges the gap between academic rigor and deeply personal, liberative spirituality.
1. A Theology of Eros: Grounding the Conversation Many progressive communities want to discuss sexual ethics but fear stirring the pot without a framework to hold the pieces together. In this keynote or workshop, Jon Carl helps communities initiate safe, constructive conversations around sexuality and relating. The dialogue is grounded in evidence-based sexuality education, contextual sensitivity, and life-giving theologies.

Jon Carl is not a "speak and leave" presenter. He provides mission-driven pastoral care that
goes beyond dispensing information. He partners with communities to provide ongoing support,
resources, and one-on-one spiritual advising to ensure the conversation continues long after the
event ends.
Jon Carl partners with universities, progressive religious institutions, and event planners to create customized experiences.
